Bringing CHEW Into Ministry, Christian Counseling, Coaching, and Personal Consulting

The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals

Whether you serve as a pastor, Christian counselor, coach, or personal consultant, your calling is to meet people at the crossroads of struggle and hope. In between caring for others, you may only have time for a short “chew” for your own heart—“Thank you, Father, for loving me as much as you love Jesus.” But when you step into service, you’re continually asking: what aspect of God’s love does this person most need right now? In session and conversation, you use the CHEW framework so your ministry goes beyond imparting knowledge to helping others taste and experience the love of Christ.

Gospel Insight: CHEW Is for All Christian Guides—Ministry, Counseling, Coaching, and Consulting

The CHEW process was made for your world. Whether shepherding souls, guiding clients, coaching leaders, or bringing clarity as a personal consultant, you need a practical way to return to Christ’s love for yourself and to help those you serve experience and respond to it in real time. This isn’t about method—it’s about living, moment-by-moment, as someone beloved, and helping others access that same love for head-to-heart transformation (John 17:23, 1 John 4:19).

Your quick “between-session” CHEWs (“Thank You, Father, for loving me as much as You love Jesus”) refill you and ground your actions in the Gospel, not self-effort or anxiety.
During your work with others, the question shifts: “Which truth about God’s love is most vital for this client or team member right now?” The session becomes sacred ground for exploring, naming, and receiving that love together—not just talking about it.

CHEW in Christian Practice—Personal and With Others

For Yourself—Short, Grounding, Repetitive

  • Confess: Lord, I need to root my leadership in Your love, not my performance or insight.
  • Hear: “Thank You, Father, for loving me as much as You love Jesus.”
  • Exchange: I return my worries and receive Your “enough-for-me-today” love.
  • Walk: Let me carry that belovedness into every meeting, prayer, or strategy.

With Those You Serve—Curious, Attuned, Gospel-Active

  • Confess: “What weighs on you today?” or “What’s the hardest part right now?”
  • Hear: “What facet of God’s love is hardest—yet most important—for you to believe today?” Listen, read Scripture together, or reflect on the Gospel in a way that is truly for that moment.
  • Exchange: “If you owned that love deep in your heart, what might change in what you’re facing or feeling?”
  • Walk: “What’s a single next step—anchored in that truth—that you’ll take before we meet again?”

Worship and Overflow

The life of a Christian leader, counselor, coach, or consultant is not about offering “from your fullness” but about continually coming back to Christ’s fullness for yourself and then pointing others to it. Illuminating God’s love is always the real work—whether in a counseling office, over a coaching call, or in high-level consultation.
