Community CHEW: How God’s Love Transforms the Way We Lead, Parent, and Grow—Together

The Daily CHEW™

CHEW on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.

This morning, my family and I found ourselves in the classic rush—spill on the table, reminders about patience, deadlines buzzing in my mind. As a New York City-raised, Atlanta-based consultant, I’ve sat in corporate boardrooms and around kitchen tables, itching for the same thing: a rhythm where “fine” isn’t the only answer and God’s love isn’t just theory.

For every high-performer longing for deeper impact at home or with your team—the ache emerges when skills and drive can’t bridge the quiet distance or tension.

Maybe you’re reading this after another team meeting ended with polite nods but bottled-up worries. Maybe you just wrangled kids through breakfast or tried (and failed) to spark a meaningful Bible study, wishing honest connection came easier. Maybe you shoulder enormous expectations at work, but deep down, you crave more than competence—you want Gospel reality to reach your heart, family, and leadership.

You are not alone. Most high-performing Christians I meet quietly hunger for something real beneath the performance: to see God’s love shape not only their private faith, but their whole community culture.

The Ache Beneath the Surface—And Why It Matters Here

Let’s be honest: applause, strategy, and grit can’t fill the spaces where shame, fear, or exhaustion linger. Self-help is a treadmill. When God works in our midst, He doesn’t just improve us—He transforms our core by His love, changing how we relate, confess, and hope together. Real connection and honest transformation grow in the soil of regular, shared returns to the One who anchors us.

CHEW Reset—Join Me Now

Let’s CHEW together. No spiritual heroics. Just a three-minute return to the One who moves before we do.

The Community CHEW (3–5 minutes, for any group, family, team, or study):

  • Breaths: Pause. Take three slow breaths, together—God’s love is present now.
  • Adore: “Father, Your love anchors us as a group—before anything we achieve.”
  • Confess: “What are we really feeling beneath the surface?” (Each person, or a shared silence where honest feelings—frustration, gratitude, confusion—can be named.)
  • Hear: “What truth or promise from God do we most need?”
    Try these Scriptures:
    • “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
    • “Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:38-39)
    • “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
  • Exchange: If this Gospel truth is real, how does it shift our heart or actions as a community?
“If I really believed God’s love is unwavering and present, how would that change my frustration with my family, my anxiety about this project, or the way I lead this group?”
  • Walk: “What’s one small thing we’ll do differently—individually or together—living from this love?” (Share a step, or quietly commit.)
  • Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God—out loud or in silent agreement—for His steadfast love, not our success. Refocus your heart on His kindness.

(For deeper or ongoing practice, print or share the CHEW SALVES Fillable Worksheet Template to capture confessions, scriptures, exchanges, and steps. It keeps the rhythm honest and the growth visible—even in busy seasons.)

Remember: progress isn’t instant and connection isn’t performance. Every honest return—every time you practice this together—is a win. God delights when we return to Him, not when we perfect ourselves or engineer outcomes.

CHEW On This™
If I really believed God’s love is unbreakable and fully present—even in my group, family, or team—how would that change the way I speak, confess, or reach for growth when it matters most?

Repeat your Community CHEW tonight over dinner, at your next team meeting, or as you open the Bible with friends or kids. The CHEW system works best when practiced in community. Invite others to join—see what shifts when you build consistent rhythms that carry God’s love from head to heart, not just alone but together, in every sphere of leadership and relationship.
