The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.
Most of us spend years building walls—trying to look strong, competent, and unbreakable. But trusted leaders, deep friendships, and greatest impact never grow in hiding; they are born when we dare to show up honestly, bringing our messy, unpolished selves into the light. I learned this firsthand. The moments I risked being truly seen—admitting mistakes, sharing doubts, opening up about fears—became the turning point in relationships, teams, and my own journey with God. Vulnerability didn’t weaken me; it was the birthplace of real connection and meaningful influence.
What Builds Through CHEW
Making vulnerability a daily rhythm invites God’s love to replace our shame and self-doubt with courage and trust. Instead of numbing or hiding, we build deeper roots: authentic connection, trust, and influence that outlasts applause. What grows isn’t just empathy for ourselves, but real impact on others—because people are changed most when leaders and friends show what’s true, not just what’s impressive.
Confess
Where have you felt tempted to hide lately—fearing rejection, criticism, or being misunderstood? What stories have you left unspoken, worried you’d be judged? Name those places with God, knowing His love receives you fully, not just in your strength but in your need.
Hear
God’s way is always toward authenticity. Scripture reminds us:
“Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” (James 5:16)
In God’s love, the courage to be known brings healing—not just in us, but in every space we occupy. His invitation is not to be flawless, but to be real and receive the freedom only He can give.
Exchange
If I truly believed God’s love welcomes all of me—my strengths and my struggles—how would it reshape the way I show up, in work, relationships, or ministry?
Example: I’d dare to share a fear with a friend, admit a mistake in a meeting, or choose honesty even when it feels risky—trusting connection, not perfection, brings impact.
Walk
This week, when you feel pressure to impress or “keep it together,” pause. Whisper: “Known. Loved. Courageous.” Show up honestly, even if your voice shakes.
CHEW On This™
Take five minutes today to let someone in—write a note sharing a prayer request, admit a worry to a teammate, or have a deeper conversation at home. Ask yourself: If I really believed God’s love is strong enough to hold all my story, how would that change the way I risk vulnerability today? Thank God for the freedom that comes in being known.
Unique Gospel Perspective: Strength That Flows From Vulnerability
The world says: Only the strong have impact. The Gospel shows: Only the honest become truly strong. Jesus opened Himself, embracing weakness and suffering, so we could experience love that heals and unites. When you choose vulnerability, you’re living out the Gospel—connection deepens, and your influence multiplies in ways pretense never could.
Celebration
Any step toward being known—sharing a real story, admitting a need, asking for help—is bold progress. Celebrate the risks of honesty; God uses them to grow compassion, trust, and influence everywhere.
Gratitude & Prayer
Father, thank You that Your love fully knows and embraces me. Grow my courage to risk vulnerability, and let my impact be rooted in authenticity, not impressiveness.
Today I thank You for: ___________ (name one way being honest brought healing or connection).
