Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.

I remember sitting in my car in a dark parking lot after another long meeting, feeling both exhausted and unsettled. Why do I feel so much tension going into these particular engagements, even though they usually go well? If I believed God’s love was enough, the tension, pressure, and even the post-engagement let down would not be there. I would trust that He loves me the way He says He does, and I wouldn’t “need” every engagement to be an over-the-top success.

CHEW On This™ Question

If I really believed God’s love is constant and covers me even in my failures and inadequacies, how would that change my thoughts, responses, and choices when I feel exposed, ashamed, or hollow?

The CHEW Framework

The CHEW process is a practical, heart-level rhythm. It invites you to start exactly where you are—messy motives, honest fears, frazzled hopes—and leads you toward holistic worship of God, shaped by His unchanging love for you. Here’s how each step works:

1. Confess

Begin by bringing your real state to God. No mask, no pretending—simply acknowledge what’s there, even if it feels unimpressive or raw.

“Father, I admit I go into these meetings tense and leave them deflated, even when things go well. I’m quick to measure my worth by the outcome. I say I trust Your love, but right now I feel pressure to perform and disappointment when affirmation fades.”

2. Hear

Turn your attention to God’s declaration of His love found in Scripture. Don’t look first for advice or commands—listen for the reality of how God regards you in Christ.

“Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39)
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)

Remember, this is not about impressing God with your faithfulness, but hearing again about His faithfulness to you.

3. Exchange

This next movement is not about self-correction but about engaging the “gap” honestly. Here you wrestle with the question:
If I truly believed God’s love remains constant and steadfast, even when I feel at my worst, how would that change my perspective and next action in this moment?

You lay down the lies like “I must earn love” or “my value hinges on success,” and receive the truth that Christ’s love is secure because of Him and not you.

4. Walk

Move forward with a concrete act of worship and trust. The aim is not instant perfection but a small, realigned step that reflects dependence on God’s love.

“Instead of replaying the outcome or seeking extra validation, I’ll thank You for Your unshakeable love. I’ll pray a prayer of gratitude, or reach out to encourage someone else, remembering that my identity rests in being Your beloved, not in being impressive.”

What Builds Through CHEW

  • Deep Roots: Every fresh return to God’s love anchors your sense of identity, worth, and calling—not in circumstances, but in Christ.
  • Resilience: When trials, criticism, or setbacks hit, you bounce back more quickly because your core isn’t shaken by external approval or outcome.
  • New Patterns: As CHEW becomes a rhythm, you’ll notice less need for control, less hiding, and more freedom to engage others honestly and compassionately.
  • Joy: Gratitude grows as you trace God’s love through daily successes and struggles, making worship more than a Sunday event—it becomes a way of being.

Something Amazing About God’s Love

God’s love doesn’t depend on your recent performance, your mood, or even your ability to remember it in the moment. The love revealed in Jesus is unchanging, pursuing you before you ever thought to reach for Him. His love speaks a new reality over your life: you are never forsaken, always welcome, and completely secure in Christ. Even your weakness and doubts become places for His assurance to take deeper root. As you walk through the CHEW process, you’ll discover that God’s love is truly inexhaustible—able to meet you in every gap and bring real transformation, one honest return at a time.

Why CHEW?

The CHEW rhythm helps you move from simply managing emotions to responding as a worshiper—starting with your reality and moving towards greater trust and enjoyment of God. It cultivates an honest relationship where even your struggles become space for His love to reshape you.

Real change is not about powering through but about returning—again and again—to the riches of God’s love in Christ. Start with the CHEW question, walk through each movement, and discover that your everyday “gaps” are where worship gets real.
