The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.
Ever wonder if you can actually experience God’s love in the middle of a busy, ordinary day? As a Washington Heights-raised consultant who lives at the intersection of strategy and soul, I used to think spiritual growth only happened in long, quiet moments. But lately, I’ve discovered that God meets me in the smallest pauses—right in the middle of real life, family chaos, and demanding work seasons.
Maybe you’ve felt that gap too—longing for spiritual practices that actually fit into your packed schedule, or wondering if there’s a way to encounter God’s love that doesn’t require another hour you don’t have. Maybe you crave transformation that happens in real-time, during the moments that actually matter most.
You’re not alone. High-performing Christians often carry a quiet ache for spiritual rhythms that aren’t just theoretical—practices that bring God’s love from your head to your heart, right in the middle of leading, parenting, and pursuing the calling God has given you.
Here’s what I’ve learned: God’s love doesn’t wait for perfect conditions or lengthy devotions. His transformation happens in three-minute pauses, thirty-second resets, and ten-minute honest conversations with Him. The CHEW isn’t about adding another task to your list—it’s about receiving what God is already offering, whenever you have the space to turn toward Him.
Join me in exploring these templates—realistic timeframes so you can choose the one that fits your moment, whether you have 30 seconds or 45 minutes. Use them in a journal, Google Doc, or by downloading the template for daily use.

Core CHEW (30–60 seconds)
The Core CHEW is your go-to practice for a rapid, heartfelt reset—right in the middle of your day, whenever you feel stressed, distracted, or simply want to remember you are deeply loved.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love is present now.
Adore: “Father, thank you for loving me right now.”
Ask the Core Question: “If I really believed God loves me as much as He loves Jesus, what would change in me right now?”
Pause and Notice: Take a slow breath. Whisper “thank you,” smile, or simply notice your heart.
Celebrate: Every honest moment of awareness is a win. You don’t have to feel a certain way—celebrate that you paused and let God’s love touch your heart.
In-the-Moment CHEW (1–3 minutes)
Perfect for those busy, stressful, or tempting moments when you need to pause and reconnect with God’s love—fast.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love is present now.
Adore: “God, you are with me and loving me—even in this moment.”
Confess: “What am I feeling or facing right now? How am I missing or forgetting your love?”
Hear: What Scripture or truth speaks to your situation? (If unsure: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted”—Psalm 34:18)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love is [truth], how would that change this moment?”
Walk: “What is one small step I can take, trusting His love?”
Thanksgiving & Worship: Notice what changed. Celebrate every honest pause.
Clarity CHEW (5–10 minutes)
A practical tool for daily check-ins—helping you process emotions, make decisions, or notice God’s goodness in everyday life.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love is present now.
Adore: “God, you are faithful and loving. Thank you for being with me.”
Confess: “What is happening in my life or heart right now? Where am I tempted to rely on myself instead of your love?”
Hear: “What does God’s Word say about this?” (If unsure, try Philippians 4:6–7 or another favorite verse)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love is [truth or characteristic], how would that change [my situation, feeling, or response]?”
Walk: “What is one practical, Spirit-led step I can take, trusting God’s love?”
Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God for His steadfast love. Reflect on what changed in your heart.
Deep Dive CHEW (10–20 minutes)
Designed for moments when you need to process big emotions, wounds, or persistent patterns that keep surfacing.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love is present now.
Adore: “Father, you know me completely and love me deeply.”
Confess: “What’s weighing on my heart right now? What am I avoiding, denying, or afraid to feel?” (Be as specific and honest as possible)
Hear: “What does God’s Word say about this?” (Try John 15:9, Romans 8:38-39, or ask God to bring a verse to mind)
Pause for Awe: Take 30 seconds to simply be with God. Allow yourself to grieve, lament, or be angry in His presence. Let the truth settle deeply.
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love is [truth], how would that change [my situation, feeling, or response]?” (Explore the ripple effects—don’t rush this step)
Walk: “What is one Spirit-led action I can take, trusting God’s love?” (Sometimes the step is simply to rest or worship)
Thanksgiving & Worship: Celebrate every honest shift. Thank God for meeting you in your mess.
Daily Reflection CHEW (7–20 minutes)
A gentle, practical way to pause and notice how God’s love has been present in your day, process what was hard, and celebrate growth.
Adore: “God, thank you for your steadfast love that was with me in the last 24 hours.”
Notice God’s Love: “Where did I most experience God’s love, presence, or help yesterday?”
Process What Was Hard: “What was discouraging, stressful, or painful? How did I respond?”
Reflect on CHEW Moments: “Did I use spiritual practices? What changed in my heart as a result?”
Notice Resistance: “Where did I forget or resist God’s love? What old patterns is God healing?”
Look for Growth: “How did I grow in trusting or receiving God’s love—even in small ways?”
Express Gratitude: “What am I grateful for from yesterday? How did God show His love?”
Remember and Grow: “What do I want to remember or try differently today?”
Celebrate: Every honest moment of awareness is a win. Celebrate any shift, even if it’s simply willingness to stay present with God.
Community CHEW (3–5 minutes)
Perfect for families, small groups, teams, or Bible studies—creating shared rhythms of honesty and Gospel return.
Breaths: Pause together. Take three slow breaths—God’s love is present now.
Adore: “Father, Your love anchors us as a group—before anything we achieve.”
Confess: “What are we really feeling beneath the surface?” (Each person shares, or hold shared silence for honest reflection)
Hear: “What truth or promise from God do we most need?” Share Scripture like:
- “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
- “Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:38-39)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love is unwavering and present, how would that change my response to conflict, anxiety, or the way I lead this group?”
Walk: “What’s one thing we’ll do differently—individually or together—living from this love?”
Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God for His steadfast love, not our success. Refocus hearts on His kindness.
Relationship CHEW (5–10 minutes)
Process conflict, hurt, or relational tension through God’s love—designed for reconciliation and healing.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love is present now, even in conflict.
Adore: “Father, You love me right now—and You love them—before any resolution happens.”
Confess: “What am I actually feeling right now? What’s under the surface?” (Name it: hurt, anger, fear, rejection)
Hear: “What truth or promise from God do I most need?”
- “God demonstrates His own love for us: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
- “Be kind and compassionate, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love is unbreakable and extends to both me and the other person, how would that change my response, words, or hope for restoration?”
Walk: “What’s one action I’ll take, living from His love?” (Confession, forgiveness, listening, or setting healthy boundaries)
Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God for His presence in your mess, not for fixing the situation. Refocus on God’s kindness toward you.
Sabbath Gratitude CHEW (10 minutes)
Weekly practice for resting in God’s love, counting blessings, and experiencing worship through gratitude.
Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love surrounds you in this moment of rest.
Adore: “Father, You love me completely, not because of what I’ve accomplished this week, but because I am Yours.”
Confess: “What am I actually feeling as I try to rest? What’s under the surface?” (Name guilt for not working, anxiety about tomorrow, gratitude, exhaustion)
Hear: “What truth do I need as I rest?”
- “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
- “The Lord will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love delights in me—not just my productivity—how would that change my ability to rest, my gratitude, or my trust in His provision?”
Walk: “What’s one way I’ll receive God’s love and express gratitude in this Sabbath?” (Write down blessings, call someone to thank them, take a grateful walk)
Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God for 3-5 specific blessings from this week. Celebrate His love that never depends on your performance.
Vision CHEW (30–45 minutes)
For major life transitions, career decisions, or quarterly planning—aligning your direction with God’s calling.
Find quiet space for thinking, praying, and writing. Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love guides your steps.
Adore: “Father, You love me and have purposes for my life that are good. You see the whole picture.”
Confess: “What am I feeling about my life direction? What’s under the surface?” (Spend 5-7 minutes: confusion, excitement, fear, pressure, gratitude, anxiety)
Hear: “What truth do I need as I consider my future?”
- “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
- “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Exchange: “If I really believed God’s love has uniquely designed me for specific good works and His plans are good, how would that change my approach to decisions, fear of mistakes, or trust in His guidance?”
Walk: Take 15-20 minutes to prayerfully write responses:
- Gifts & Design: How has God uniquely wired me?
- Current Reality: What feels aligned/misaligned with God’s love?
- Kingdom Impact: Where do I see need that matches my gifts?
- Next Steps: 2-3 concrete actions for the next 90 days?
- Surrender: What am I holding too tightly that needs surrender?
Thanksgiving & Worship: Thank God for how He has led you to this point. Refocus on His faithfulness and promise to direct your paths.
Remember: Every CHEW template works best when you’re honest, not perfect. God meets you in the process, not just the outcome. Growth happens gradually—every honest return to His love is a victory worth celebrating.
